EDAC's SCADAPhone© monitors alarm and analog points in SCADA or HMI / MMI software using a client/server DDE, OLE, or OPC link. When an alarm is detected, SCADAPhone© will dial a pre-determined list of telephone numbers and will continue through the contact list until a proper acknowledgement is received.

SCADAPhone© provides great flexibility in alarm message definition and handling. An alarm message can be a simple WAV file or a complex multi-segmented message containing text and live tag value information. The scheme for handling each alarm has its own setting.

Alarm voice message and menu items message are comprised of one or more voice files which are played one after another to form a continuous voice message. Three different types of messages allow virtually any type of message to be played.

SCADAPhone© works with any pager or answering machine. It uses a sophisticated signal analyzer that distinguishes between voice, beeps and silence and therefore can perform different actions based upon the audio signal received.
